Progressive Pattern (none / 0)

Progressives are notorious for protecting the rights of hate mongers and neglecting the rights of their victims. With notable exceptions, there is a progressive pattern of providing a platform for hate mongers, and then leaving it to law enforcement to clean up the resulting mess. I'm glad some progressive religious leaders have been discussing the phenomenon of hate mongering, but that means nothing if they don't mobilize their congregations to boycott media and any other businesses that profit from it, as well as to move in all possible ways to support the targets of hate. Relying on lawsuits after crimes have been committed is a cowardly position to take for moral authorities, especially when knowing the hostile bias of the Department of Justice.

This is a progressive site and making gross generalizations about progressives (or really anything else) runs contrary to the spirit of what we are about here. Got a criticism about an individual or group that you think has been insufficiently vigilant in opposing the views and public activites of the religious right, by all means please tell us about it, and with specifics please. But otherwise, you are just knocking downstrawmen.
