Family Research Council (Action) E-mail Blasts for Romney

The supposedly non-partisan Family Research Council's legislative arm sent out a clearly pro-Romney e-mail blast the morning of election day. The text was careful, but the embedded link for voter "resource" information led to a right-wing website that made Romney the Godly candidate and Obama the ghoulish candidate.

The e-mail was signed by Tony Perkins. Not the shower guy, but the President of both the Family Research Council and FRC Action. Here is the link: please review our silo of voter resources for information on the presidential as well as state level races.

The e-mail is hardly a surprise, since the FRC's "Voter Guide" is equally biased and ludicrous.

Click on for the text of the e-mail:

Make your voice heard. Go Vote Today!

November 06, 2012

Dear XXXXX,

Election Day is here and national polls show a dead heat on the presidential level and close races in the four states that will vote on marriage (Maryland, Maine, Washington State and Minnesota). But no matter what opinion polls say, there's only one poll that matters: your registered polling place.

In very real terms, the future of our nation--our religious freedoms, economic potential, healthcare decisions--will be decided by who stays home and who goes to the polls. The best thing to do is lead by example.

If you haven't already voted early, get to your polling place, cast your ballot, and encourage those around you to do the same. Check with family, friends and members of your church to make sure they've voted - especially senior citizens and new voters.

If you or your friends still have questions on where candidates stand, please review our silo of voter resources for information on the presidential as well as state level races. Now, go vote your values!

Sincerely,

Tony Perkins
President

P.S. After you vote, post your voting-themed photos on FRC's Facebook wall - let us see those "I Voted" stickers!
