Billy Graham's Daughter Sees the Rapture in Malaysian Airlines Disappearance

If you've been waiting for someone to link the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 to The Rapture, thanks to the Reverend Billy Graham's daughter, your wait is over. According to Anne Graham Lotz, the disappearance of the Boeing 777 over the Indian Ocean could be a sign that The Rapture might be around the corner.

Ms. Graham Lotz's Malaysia Airlines theorizing, coupled with her brother Franklin's recent declaration of support for the way Russia's Valadimir Putin is dealing with gays in his country, makes one think that March Madness extends far beyond the nation's premier basketball tournament.

Graham Lotz, a Christian evangelist, begins her piece, titled "Malaysian Airliner Disappearance Offers Snapshot of Post-Rapture World Shock," by citing 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17: "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."

She then poses a series of questions that many have been asking:

"How could a modern airliner drop out of sight so quickly and completely? What happened to the plane itself? Was it hijacked? Was it blown out of the sky? Did something happen to the pilots so that without guidance the plane plunged intact into the depths of the sea?"

"Bottom line," she writes, "Where are all the people?"

Unlike just about all of the experts trucked out by the networks, Graham Lots has her own unique answer: The disappearance of the plane could be the first signs of The Rapture.

"I can't help but wonder: Is this worldwide sense of shock and helplessness, of questions and confusion, of fear and grief a glimpse of things to come? Is this a small snapshot of what the entire world will experience the day after the rapture of the church?"

Graham Lotz is certain that "the Bible is clear. There is coming a moment in time when Jesus will come back to gather to Himself all those--dead and alive--who have put their trust in Him. And on that day, the world will be asking, `Where have all the people gone?' Not just 239 of us, but millions of us."

As convinced as she is that The Rapture is coming, unlike the late Harold Camping, Graham Lotz is not predicting the exact time of The Rapture will commence. "On that day, with millions of people directly impacted by their own missing friends and family members, in the midst of overwhelming shock and helplessness, of questions and confusion, of fear and grief--when the world searches for clues, how easily will they find the answer in what I leave behind? Instead of an oil slick, will there be traces of His grace and glory and truth?"

The daughter of Billy Graham is the president of the Raleigh, North Carolina-based AnGeL Ministries, and the author of a number of boos including are "Wounded by God's People," "Fixing My Eyes on Jesus," "Expecting to See Jesus," and her first children's book, "Heaven: God's Promise for Me."

In the past, Christian evangelists have been quick to use natural disasters, terrorist incidents, gay rights marches, and just about anything they could as a way of proclaiming that God is unhappy with, and about to judge, America. While it is rather unseemly, it is not surprising that Graham Lotz would latch onto the tragedy of the Malaysian Airlines to launch warnings about The Rapture.

More than a religious topic, it's a government issue, there's always an interest of the politicians to take the mind of the people to another side. If the airplane was taken down or it's an insinuation of domination, i think, the people involved would know that, and they know, but they are just capturing attention. Colegio en Zapopan
