Religion News Service: Daniel Burke reports that Don Wildmon the elderly founder of the American Family Association (which blew $600,000 to underwrite Rick Perry's The Response rally) has unsurprisingly endorsed Perry for president.
Religion Dispatches: Sarah Posner reports that former employees of the American Family Association describe a hostile, abusive work environment in which only the most extreme points of view are tolerated and deviance is punished.
The Slacktiverse: Literata reports (citing RightWingWatch) that a group of leaders of the New Apostolic Reformation are planning a spiritual warfare campaign Washington DC, which they find to be infested with demons. The 40 day prayer war starts October 3rd. Literata also continues what has turned into a rolling rebuttal of those pundits, journalists and political hacks who downplay or deny the reality of the dominionist movement, and/or seek to discredit those of us who have written about it. |
