Falwell and Fox News

The legacy of Jerry Falwell lives on amidst the functioning of the Fox News network.  Key Fox News reporter Shannon Bream is a graduate of Falwell's university and she claims great pride in the Virginia school  Shannon reported that after intense prayer for a year she was moved to become a journalist and work eventually at Fox.  Even though Fox News is regarded by a Columbia University study as a partisan program with shallow journalism, Bream says she was thrilled at the chance to work there.  She says it was her dream to work at Fox.  Influenced by Falwell, Shannon is a great fit for the Fox channel.
Another connection to Fox/Falwell is Sean Hannity.  Hannity, with no education past high school, got an honorary Bachelor's degree from Jerry Falwell.  Sean said if he ever left the Catholic's he would attend Falwell's church.  Sean appears to have spent more time tending bar than attending journalism courses. He is a prime time mover seeking to now convince the nation our President is a socialist.  Sean actively led McCain rallies in between showing rants of Jermeiah Wright.
Religious Right politician Mike Huckabee has his own program on the channel.  Huckabee claims David Barton, a history revisionist, is the greatest historian of our generation.  Mike has hosted Rick Scarbourough to lead conferences  in a state where he was the political leader.  Jerry Falwell gave what was left of the Moral Majority to Rick. Jerry also helped out Rick's son with a scholarship to his university.  Barton is on Scarborough's board.
Jack Graham, a past president of the Southern Baptist  Convention, went to local media to endorse Huckabee for President.  He also lead a charge to get Texas pastors to oust McCain and back Huckabee for office. Graham is on the list of speakers at the annual Falwell preachers conference this year.  We might ask the Pastor's Conference at Liberty to pray that people like Shannon work more on journalism and less on being a political action committee.

Display:
a backed up terlit. No matter how many times you flush, stuff just swirls around and around, never actually going anywhere. Not a particularly apt analogy, but I'm not giving them any more of my time for thoughts, save for contempt.

...better at Fox News than in the administration, which is where many of Falwell's and Robertson's graduates ended up in the past eight years.

Elections have consequences.

Shannon provides a pretty face to a rather ugly history at Liberty U.  Guess you might call it a "spin" in the "no spin zone."

How much did Barton give Huckabee the squirrel popping pinhead to tell such a dubious lie? Because if it was more than a whole nickel, Barton robbed himself. And, I just don't know what to say about Shannon Bream that hasn't already been said way, way too often about modern "journalists" who matriculated from some obscure low grade institution of collegiate balderdash "accredited" by some hyper-patriotic fascist megareligious indoctrination center sanctimoniously pretending to be a legitimate institution of faith. The Lord is neither pleased nor magnified in this buffoonery. Jesus is likely somewhere embarrassed, wishing these nuts would just leave Him out of their personal relationship with all things anathema. Rupert Murdoch should be dreadfully ashamed of himself. It's bad enough Murdoch is bogusly passing off this fact-challenged fluff as news and information. But, to do so through a lobotomized horde of lethally fanatic, zealously selfrighteous numbskulls he's painstakingly scraped from beneath the silt and mire a foot or more beneath the bottom of anything remotely resembling the barrel of American academia, right before slapping on the "journalist" label, is an unforgiveable abomination second only to blasphemy. The LORD will judge!

Thanks for reminding us about judgement.
