Hagee has played a significant role in politics in recent months, including hosting a televised CUFI event in Jerusalem with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the night that Joe Biden arrived in Israel, a repeat of a similar event in 1998, when Jerry Falwell and Hagee gathered Christian Zionists to meet with Netanyahu at the Mayflower Hotel in D.C. to chant "Not one inch, not one inch!" before Netanyahu's meeting with President Bill Clinton.  

For years, Hagee has broadcast to millions globally an end times narrative in which certain prerequisites must be fulfilled in order to bring about the "Rapture," the forced repentance of a remnant of Jews in the "Tribulation," and the beginning of the 1000-year reign of Jesus on earth. John Hagee Ministries Magazine regularly includes forms soliciting donations to "Become a Part of Biblical Prophecy" by funding Jews to move to Israel.  CUFI director Billye Brim has told television audiences that "God prophesizes things in the Bible, but it takes men working with him to bring it about - it takes you!"  Fulfilling their roles as "fishers" Hagee, Brim, and other CUFI directors are luring Jews to the West Bank with swimming pools, sports buildings, and other developments.

The day after Britain's Advertising Standards Authority said the Western Wall in Jerusalem could not be used in Israeli tourism ads in Britain because it is considered occupied territory, Hagee said, the volcano erupted, shutting down Britain's economy in one day.

"That's coincidence, like the flood was a coincidence. That's coincidence, like the Red Sea was coincidence. That's coincidence, like the earthquake and the Resurrection was coincidence," Hagee told about 3,200 people at Lancaster County Convention Center on Thursday night as part of John Hagee Ministries' Rally and Prophecy Seminar.

"Obama shunned Netanyahu and let the prime minister sit there by himself while he ate with his family. He was trying to pressure Israel to divide Jerusalem," Hagee said.
"But God is the president of Jerusalem, not the U.S. Jerusalem is the city of God.

God made a covenant with Abraham 3,500 years ago, a blood covenant that there will be one Jerusalem then, one Jerusalem now and one Jerusalem forever," Hagee said.  A blood covenant is more binding than family ties, he said, because of the "precious blood of Jesus, the kinsman redeemer."  The land belongs to Israel because of the covenant and "any country who tries to change that will get the judgment of God," Hagee said. "It's like sticking your finger in the eye of God."

Proselytizing
Hagee in the Forward op-ed:
"The first rule adopted by Christians United for Israel was that there would be no proselytizing at our events. CUFI exists only to honor and support the Jewish people, never to convert them."

It may be true that there is no direct proselytizing at CUFI events, nevertheless, CUFI directors have made use of their close ties with Israeli to gain access to Jewish communities and to promote the support of Messianic communities and ministries. (Jews who have converted to Christianity but still claim to be Jews and retain some Jewish ritual and custom.)

CUFI director Robert Stearns is co-founder of the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem, an annual event advertised as held in 300,000 churches last year.  The other co-founder of the international event is Jack Hayford, chancellor of the King's Seminary and its "Jewish Voice" division, which trains Messianics "to best reveal Yeshua to all Israel."

In Final Dawn over Jerusalem, Chapter 9, Hagee turns all of the Jewish holidays into prophetic Christian events. For instance, Yom Kippur becomes the date of the second coming of Christ, which will be 2, 520 days after Israel signs a peace treaty with the Anti-Christ.  The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) is a described as a dress rehearsal of the millennial kingdom, or 1000-year reign of Christ.

"Through His festivals, God gave us a dress rehearsal of what is ahead....The combined seven feasts are a divine blueprint for what lies ahead for Jerualem, Israel, and the rest of the world.... Through these events God revealed his 7,000-year plan for humanity....

When 6,000 years pass and that Sukkot moment has come, Jesus 1,000 year reign will begin.  We can forget the frustration we experienced every time we turned on the television and watched the evening news.  We'll trade in the condom culture and politically correct madhouse for paradise.  This AIDS-infected, abortion-loving, pornography-addicted, secular-humanist sewer will disappear as Jesus Christ redeems the entire creation.

Definitions

In the context of Hagee's prophecy timeline, as can be seen in his Prophecy Study Bible, (Thomas Nelson Publishers, 1997) with commentary, the Tribulation is a seven year period during which the anti-Christ will reign over the earth.  This takes place following the Rapture, or snatching up to heaven of born again Christians.  After the Rapture, Israel will partner with the anti-Christ who will temporarily bring peace to the earth and finish rebuilding the Third Temple.  However, he will then turn on the Jews in the bloodiest episode in human history. One of the purposes of the Tribulation is to force a surviving remnant of Jews to repent of Judaism and to accept Jesus as the Messiah.   Hagee maps out the timeline in great detail in his books, sermons, and Prophecy Study Bible.  

"Fishers and hunters" are terms used in Christian Zionism to refer to those (fishers) who will try to lure Jews to Israel in fulfillment of the end times.  "Hunters" or those who come afterwards to force Jews to leave their home nations and move to Israel.  See "Saving Jews from John Hagee" and "Fishers and Hunters-  the Continuing Saga of Christian Zionism." This was the meaning of the reference in Hagee's now infamous "Hitler as hunter" quote in his 2005 sermon series "Jerusalem Countdown."
