From John Hagee's Can America Survive: Ten Prophetic Signs That We Are The Terminal Generation

Following are a few quotes from John Hagee's latest book, released June, 2010.  Also see the Media Matters post on the book and excerpts at Simon and Schuster's website.

"Why is this divine covenant for a specific land to the Jewish people so crucial in the twenty-first century? It's urgent because World War III is about to begin over the failure of humanity to recognize Israel's historic right to the land."
[108]

"There are six nations whose exact names are given by the prophet Ezekiel that, at some point in the future, will unify in a massive Islamic army to invade and attempt to destroy Israel.

Who are they?
Will they succeed?
What will be their end?

All of these questions are answered by the prophet Ezekiel. The six nations that will form an Islamic military force 'as a cloud to cover the land' will be Persia (Iran), Ethiopia, Libya, Germany, and Turkey - all being led by Russia."
[142]

"There is comfort and consolation in Ezekiel's prophetic portrait of the world tomorrow. The message is that God is in total control of what appears to be a hopeless situation for Israel. He has deliberately dragged these anti-Semitic nations into Israel to crush them so that the Jews of Israel and the nations of the world will know that He is the Lord and there is no other. America and Europe will not save Israel... God will!"
[146]

"The truth is the next prophetic event that will shake the foundations of planet Earth is the rapture of the church. The word rapture is the Latin version of a phrase the Bible uses to describe the catching away of all Christians, both dead and alive, on the earth at the appointed time.

The rapture is a global event where every believer on planet Earth will be taken from the earth into heaven in the "twinkling of an eye." Simply stated: billions of people will instantly disappear and not return for seven years!
Think it can't happen?
Think again!"

[201]

"The leaders of the world will call for and even demand that there be a global economic czar to save the world from an economic catastrophe. That man, like Hitler, will come out of Europe and will be the Antichrist."
[221]

"The president of the United States does not have the authority to tell the Jewish people they cannot live in East Jerusalem, their own capital, and/or in Judea and Samaria, where Jews have lived for millennia."
[11 -12]

"If you look at a map of the Middle East and fix the boundaries recorded in Scripture, the day will come when Israel will own and control all of present-day Israel, including Jerusalem, Lebanon, the West Bank of Jordan, and most of Syria, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia."
[109]

"The ACLU has been against America from the beginning.  The objective of the ACLU it to use the judiciary, rather than the electorate, to implement its agenda."

[157]

"The fourth prophetic sign that we are the terminal generation is  the rebirth of the state of Israel... The generation which sees the rebirth of Israel is the terminal generation."
[192 - 193]

"The fifth prophetic sign that we are the terminal generation is Exodus II - that point in history when the Russian Jews would return to Israel in massive numbers."
[194]

...but there is specific evidence that, in the near future, there is a day and hour in which one-third of the human race will die in a day."
[251]

"Note carefully that the Jewish people at this point in time do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.  The Bible is very clear that this will happen at the end of the Tribulation, when the Jewish people...

'will look on Me whom they pierced.  Yes they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for his firstborn.' - Zechariah 12:10

That is the day, the Scripture declares, when 'all Israel will be saved.'"
[243]
