This is an archived report which originally was posted on April 21, 2007, at ICA apostle Tom Schlueter's Trinity Apostolic Prayer Network website. Shlueter's network was subsequently absorbed into the Texas Apostolic Prayer Network, now headed by Schlueter.

The "Report From Olney" describes ceremonies, carried out by ICA apostles Tom Schlueter, Jay Swallow, John Benefiel, Chuck Pierce, and others, that symbolically represented "divorce" of geographic areas and also people groups (such as Native American tribes) from the demon powers of Baal and Leviathan. The ceremonies were described as including the smashing of Native American art objects, such as matrimonial vases.

As the report describes the Olney ceremony,

Approximately 130 people gathered at Olney, Texas on Saturday, April 21, 2007. The gathering was hosted by the Trinity Apostolic Prayer network under the leadership of Pastor Tom Schlueter. The meeting was led by Apostles Jay Swallow (Oklahoma and Cheyenne Nation), John Benefiel (Oklahoma Apostolic Prayer Network - OAPN), Tom Schlueter (Trinity Apostolic Prayer Network - TAPN) and Sandy Newman (Kansas). Pastors, leaders and intercessors from Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas were in attendance.

[...]

Tom Schlueter, Director of TAPN, gave an introduction to the day. The gathering had unfolded in response to a prophetic call that Dutch Sheets had made in Denton, Texas during the "Starting the Year Off Right" conference in January. He [Dutch Sheets] proclaimed that Baal was the governing principality of evil over the United States and that Baal needed to be divorced and brought down... John Benefiel (OAPN), at a conference held at Church on the Rock - Oklahoma City in February responded to Dutch's call by composing a Divorce Degree (composed by Dr. Jerry Mash of OAPN). At that conference two Native American matrimonial vases that displayed Baal and Leviathan drawings were smashed as a prophetic act of divorce and then the decree of divorce was declared. Two weeks later the divorce was decreed in Arkansas City, Kansas at a conference hosted by Sandy Newman and DeeAnn Ward. The Lord began to impress upon Tom Schlueter that it needed to be done in Texas as well.

As the report detailed, Heartland Apostolic Prayer Network head apostle John Benefiel explicitly taught that Native Americans had been guilty of worshiping the false gods of Baal and Leviathan:

John Benefiel then informed the gathering of the history of Baal in the region. He shared the story of the Baal caves in the panhandle of Oklahoma where cave drawings depict the presence of those who worshiped Baal. There were drawings of Baal (the Sun god), Anubis and calendars which marked out the equinox (the time established for worshiping Baal). The inscriptions dedicated the land to Baal... Jay [Swallow] taught on the unholy trio of Baal, Asherah and Leviathan. He spoke of their proliferation into the land. His teaching led us up to the prophetic act of smashing pottery that depicted Baal and Leviathan. Knowing that this authority lies with those who dwelt on this land first, it was necessary that it be carried out by a Native American.

[...]

Jay then proceeded to lead Mark in the smashing of vessels. One vessel depicted the snakelike features of Leviathan and the other depicted the Sun god - Baal. They were placed in trash bags and Mark used a dogwood rod presented to Jay by Chuck Pierce to destroy the pottery. It shattered into many pieces at the joyous shouts of the body of Christ. Tom Schlueter, as an apostolic leader of the region, was invited by Jay and John to lead the group through the Divorce Decree. Then judgment was declared. The divorce was finalized. A crystal gavel (presented to Tom by Chuck Pierce) was used to declare the judgment.

Decrees at Olney

Now Gideon perceived that He was the Angel of the LORD. So Gideon said, "Alas, O Lord GOD! For I have seen the Angel of the LORD face to face." Then the LORD said to him, "Peace be with you; do not fear, you shall not die." So Gideon built an altar there to the LORD, and called it The-LORD-Is-Peace. To this day it is still in Ophrah of the Abiezrites. Now it came to pass the same night that the LORD said to him, "Take your father's young bull, the second bull of seven years old, and tear down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the wooden image that is beside it; and build an altar to the LORD your God on top of this rock in the proper arrangement, and take the second bull and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the image which you shall cut down." Judges 6:22-26

The Comanche Nation was represented by Mark Wauahdooah, Joseph Nevquaya, Shadrach (Shade) Large and Elijah Greenwald. The Cheyenne Nation was represented by Jay and Joan Swallow and their daughter Dolly. The purpose of the gathering was...

to release and establish the Shalom of God into the Trinity, Red and Brazos River basins and throughout the State of Texas,
to divorce and tear down the principalities of Baal, Asherah and Leviathan, and
to reconcile with the Comanche Nation.

We met at the restaurant of Herb and Sally Bernhardt, which is located at 1128 West Main in Olney. On our arrival we were unsure of how the meeting room would be arranged, but quickly discovered that it was already set up as a place of teaching and worship. A three-day city-wide revival was already being held in Olney in this very room. We were unaware of this revival when our gathering was being planned. We started with a season of worship. The presence and glory of God filled the room as we lifted up the name of the Lord.

Sandy Newman of Govern from the Heart and Destiny Ministries in Arkansas City, Kansas gave the offering message. Two key thoughts from the message dealt with being "in sync" with God's timing and "bringing forth of worms." The latter referred to a season when their property in Kansas was covered with birds and each bird was pulling a worm from the ground. The Lord spoke that He was bringing us into a season of great provision and wealth coming forth into the kingdom. The first word about timing was obviously being fulfilled as we gathered in Olney as the Lord had already revealed how different people, appointments and timings were all synchronized to take place that day.

Tom Schlueter, Director of TAPN, gave an introduction to the day. The gathering had unfolded in response to a prophetic call that Dutch Sheets had made in Denton, Texas during the "Starting the Year Off Right" conference in January. He proclaimed that Baal was the governing principality of evil over the United States and that Baal needed to be divorced and brought down. Dutch's declarations and teachings on Baal can be found on his web site at www.dutchsheets.org.

The inscriptions dedicated the land to Baal. An internet article on the caves can be read at http://www2.privatei.com/~bartjean/chap4.htm. Jay Swallow presented his testimony. Jay is an apostle of the Native Americans who has tremendous authority over the spiritual issues of our land. There is not room in this report to tell his story and how he came to be related to John Benefiel, but it came about as a direct result of confession and forgiveness between the leaders of Oklahoma Concert of Prayer (which is now OAPN) and Jay as a spiritual leader of the Native Americans as well as the Cheyenne Nation. His ancestors were a part of the massacres at Sand Creek and Washita Creek. More on Jay can be found at http://www.2-rivers.com. Jay taught on the unholy trio of Baal, Asherah and Leviathan. He spoke of their proliferation into the land. His teaching led us up to the prophetic act of smashing pottery that depicted Baal and Leviathan. Knowing that this authority lies with those who dwelt on this land first, it was necessary that it be carried out by a Native American.

At this point, Pastor Schlueter, prompted by the Lord, invited Mark Wauahdooah of the Comanche Nation to come forward. Tom and Mark had been divinely connected at Denton in January. The Comanche Nation was one of many Native American Nations that lived in Texas but were forced out of the state during the late 1800's. A speech by Ten Bears at the Medicine Lodge Treaty in 1867 summarizes their feelings. It can read at http://www.comanchelodge.com/speech.htm. Tom and Mark exchanged flags of the Comanche Nation and the State of Texas. They asked for and gave forgiveness for the sins of their people. Tom officially welcomed Mark and the Comanche Nation back into the State of Texas. The greatest joy was when Mark declared that the Comanches were not attending on their own, but had sought out and received official representation from the Comanche tribal leaders. After that declaration, Tom and Mark embraced with great joy.

We then proceeded to the site of the headwaters of the West Fork of the Trinity. The West Fork is the primary fork of the Trinity River which flows through Fort Worth and Dallas on its way to Liberty, Texas and Galveston Bay. Interestingly, on this land two other major rivers are fed - the Red and the Brazos. The Brazos (Brazos de Dios) is called the Arm of God and empties into the Gulf of Mexico at Corpus Christi (the body of Christ). What a significant place! We invited representatives of the Body of Christ to come forward and present prophetic acts to seal the work of the Lord. A cross was planted on the site to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the cross planted on the beaches of Virginia. Bread and wine was used to commune the land. Salt was poured on the spot to signify purity. Anointing oil was poured on the site to release unity. A large flat stone from the Brazos River (inscribed with "The Earth is the Lord's and fullness thereof) was placed by the cross. Waters from the Brazos River, Red River, Trinity River and, from Medical Lake, near where John Lake's healing rooms were established in Spokane, Washington, were poured on the spot. As water from the Red River was poured, we made phone contact with Ken Bryan who was in the process of leading the River Flush USA initiative for Red River. A gold toilet plunger was presented as a scepter representing the plunging or cleansing of the rivers of all evil and impurity. A shofar was placed on the site representing the Word of God being released over the State of Texas and region. Significant gifts of reconciliation and friendship (a drum from Alaska and handmade beads) were presented. The final act was when Shade, a representative of the Comanche nation (fulfilling the prophetic nature of the Hebrew year Samekh Zayin - the year of clashing swords and the finishing anointing) danced to a song of praise and plunged the tip of a war lance into the ground. It also represented the priestly action of Phinehas as he stopped the plague after Israel had committed harlotry with Baal. The ground literally shook. A decree of peace was released over the State by John Benefiel. A closing blessing was pronounced by Tom Schlueter. A spirit of reconciliation was released as we embraced each other. There was a representation of Native American, Hispanic, Asian, African American and Anglo. What an awesome day! We headed home knowing we had decreed God's purposes over and into the State of Texas.

We have DVDs available for the event. For more information contact Pastor Tom Schlueter at coordinator@trinityapn.org.
